E-books require specialized fonts as they are viewed on digital screens rather than in print like books or newspapers. To address this need, the Korea Publishers Association developed and distributed the 'KoPub Font' for free in 2011, aiming to enhance publishers' production of digital content and activate the e-book market. The 'KoPub Font' showcases readability on digital screens comparable to print materials and has firmly established itself as the premier font not only in the publishing industry but also in various other sectors such as IT, film, and advertising design.

In 2019, the 'KoPub Font' was reborn as the 'KoPub World Font.' The 'KoPub World Font' includes expanded characters such as old Korean script that had not been implemented before, as well as Chinese, Japanese, Latin, Russian, Hebrew, Arabic, and Sanskrit. Through this expansion, readers can enjoy a wider range of cultural and linguistic experiences, enriching their knowledge and cultural life.
